DNA

Has fire, flood, neglect, or war destroyed the records you need?  I'll use my proven DNA analysis skills to attempt to bridge those gaps.

The world is a crazy, uncertain place, and it's even worse when it directly affects you.

An area that definitely affects a great many of a family researcher is the lack of records that used to exist, but no longer do.

Numerous courthouse disasters, careless custody of records or neglect of duty in maintaining them, and of course, the biggest culprit, war, have decimated a great deal of records.

It can be infuriating and make you go loco.

Similarly, there are places where your ancestors generated no records, such as a landless citizen in South Carolina in the 1790s.  For all intents and purposes, they're invisible, unless you stumble across them in a secondary role, such as being a witness to a record.

But thanks to DNA, I can often breathe new life into your research by hop, skip, and jumping beyond those missing records to find a cousin's family line whose record trail hasn't been destroyed.

I've been able to do this more times than I can count.

Lines that were once "dead" are suddenly very much alive again.

It's so exciting when that happens!

It also works for "virgin" research too.  Those are family lines that no one else has researched before, or have gotten to a certain place and stopped.  There's more of them than most people realize, too.

The possibilities are truly endless by using DNA to your advantage this way.  It's a real game changer!

Ready To Go?

Let's leap those tall buildings and expand your knowledge of your family's universe!

Drop me a line or give me a call and I'll get started on it as soon as I can.
