Adoptees
As an adoptee myself, I innately understand the void being adopted can create by not knowing a whole side of your family and your place in the world.
I also understand the completing fulfillment of eliminating that void.
For me, it was understanding where so many of my natural traits and skills came from.
I also learned of the many great accomplishments that my father's side had made and I gained the confidence that I, too, could do great things.
And I have.
To say it was enlightening would be an understatement!
Parent X
Similar to adoptees, that same "void" applies to Parent X children.
In addition, a great many Parent X children feel that they should hold some kind of shame to their existence.
Don't!
Thankfully, times have definitely changed to that reality.
So don't let that hold you down, or back.
The Italians have a wonderful philosophy of "It doesn't matter how you got here. You are here and you need love and support."
Fortunately, that seems to be the prevailing attitude more and more today.
So you've got little to lose, except that big elephant on your back named Void.
It's time to get rid of him.
Out of all my cases, I've only had one family that didn't want to reconnect (and that was only because the client didn't heed my advice).
Talk about amazing odds! They are definitely in your favor.
It's like a lottery where you almost can't lose!
